Lynn Steeves is having a busy summer. She and her brother are working in the house she bought outside of town, her children are gone on a road trip vacation with her dad, and her friends backed her into a corner so now she’s got another project in the works. What she didn’t need to see was the small bright red Camry snugged up against a tree in the hayfield across the street. Or the remains of a local woman she had never met. The opinionated sheriff dictates the course of the unfortunate accident and Lynn, with more common sense than she needs, is sure he’s wrong. While she and the sheriff go head-to-head, a different individual is out to make sure Lynn’s theories are wrong. What’s going to happen if Dad comes back and Lynn is in the slammer?
